In previous posts, we have mentioned all of the critters that are around here. Possums, Racoons, Phoebes, Red Tailed hawks, Crows, bobcats, coyotes, and Owls.
Tonight we got to see Atticus, our Owl. Most nights, we can hear him. Whoo, Whoo, Whoo...., but we have never seen him. Tonight he was sitting on the deck railing looking for something to eat. Before we could find our camera, he found food and took off. He was almost pure white, and to watch his head turn 360 degrees was great (awesome). I'm going to miss this place when we move. Whoever buys this will be one lucky person.
We can't decide whether this is a Barn owl or a Great Horned Owl. My vote is for the Great Horned just because of the call.
